Course Description
《人类极端环境生理学（英）》是一门融合了生理学、环境科学和生物医学等多学科交叉研究的综合性课程，系统介绍人体在高温、低温、高海拔、深海和太空等极端环境中的生理反应与代偿适应机制、健康风险及防护措施，培养学生的科学思维、探索精神和创新意识。通过本课程的学习，主要目的是使学生系统掌握生理学核心知识体系，深入了解人体在极端环境下的生理反应变化和适应能力，为学生在该领域的进一步科研与实践奠定坚实的理论基础。
Human physiology in extreme environments is an interdisciplinary study that integrates physiology, environmental science, and biomedical science into a comprehensive discipline, systematically introduce the physiological response and compensatory adaptation mechanism, health risks and protective measures of the human body in extreme environments such as high temperature, low temperature, high altitude, deep sea and space, and cultivate students' scientific thinking, exploratory spirit, and innovative consciousness. Through the study of this course, students will master the core knowledge system of physiology and gain a deep understanding of the physiological response changes and adaptability of the human body in extreme environments, laying a solid theoretical foundation for students' further research and practice in this field.

Teacher Profile
Hanns-Christian Gunga，德国Charité–University Medicine生理学系教授，首批国家高端外国专家，秘鲁国家科学院院士，曾任西北工业大学客座教授和欧洲空间局（European Space Agency, ESA）生命科学委员会主席。主要从事空间医学、血液与心血管生理学、肾脏生理学，以及极端环境下比较生理学领域的研究，是国际知名的“航天医学”和“极端环境生理学”专家。
